About Us

What began as a quest to catalog our families’ legacies grew into a world-renowned collection of thousands of Jewish cultural and historical artifacts, preserving voices and legacies that would
otherwise be lost to history.
Mission and Purpose

A Family Collection

  • As a boy, collecting was a way to remember the marvelous tales of people who influenced me—even those who had departed before I was born. I was surrounded by relatives old and young, from Hungary, Russia and both Utica and Yonkers, New York. They shared tales of heroism, loss, love, and victory. I am as proud of my family today as I was when I was ten years old.
  • Then came marriage and another family entered my life. New people emerged with stories from Poland, Cuba, New York, and New Jersey. More passionate tales of loss, survival, and achievement on many different levels.
  • By the grace of G-d, we cataloged it all—and much more.

  • Why spend our retirement years doing all this? We believe it is our responsibility as human beings to become ambassadors, using our time, talent, and treasure to preserve and share these stories for the betterment of society—today and in the future.
